We're coming up on another Mother's Day when we celebrate the women who are the basis of the country. Happy Mother's Day to all.

Floral Arranging: The Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library will hold a session of Floral Arranging on Thursday from 2-3 p.m. Susan Sidwell will show how to take delicate flowers and turn them into an arrangement to be proud of. For those who think you don't have that talent, try it: You might be surprised what you can learn. If you have a mother nearby, it would make a pleasant surprise as a Mother's Day gift.
