School will soon be in session, and we all know that kids need all sorts of things to start the school year off on a positive foot. Molly’s Closet, reopening in a new location this year in the Molly Ockett Elementary hallway, will be open today from 9 to 11 a.m., Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. Stop by to get free school supplies, clothing and toiletries. For more information, email mollyockettschoolpta@gmail.com.

The annual Fryeburg Rescue Pig Roast and Deep Fried Turkey Dinner will take place on Thursday, Aug. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds in the Craft Barn. You’ll enjoy locally raised pork, fresh corn-on-the-cob and plenty of other fixin’s. Dinner will cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10 years old. Pay cash at the door. All proceeds and donations will be used to help support Fryeburg Rescue including their community outreach programs. This is a community event and everyone is welcome.
