Join Brownfield Recreation at Heart and Hand at 750 Pequawket Trail in Brownfield, Maine, for its annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be pumpkin carving, doughnuts and cider. All ages are welcome.

In the evening you can head to the Brownfield Community Center for a night of Halloween fun. From 5 to 6 p.m. you can enjoy a dinner of hot dogs, burgers and cold drinks by donation. From 6 to 8 p.m. there will be trunk-or-treating, and a carnival and a witch walk (games and a forest walk). You can also take part in the Halloween cook-off for best decorated dessert and a costume contest. All the spooky fun will be held rain or shine.
