Fryeburg Town Column: Benefit supper to raise money for meditation garden at the Historical Society Osgood House

The Saco Valley Garden Club, with the help of the Fryeburg Historical Society, will hold a benefit supper to raise money for a meditation garden at the Historical Society Osgood House on Friday, April 27, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the East Conway Community Hall. The supper consists of ham, baked beans, casseroles, salads, beverages and pie for dessert. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for kids under 12 years old.

Stop by the Fryeburg Public Library on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to noon for a morning of "Old Tyme Storytelling.” Sally Whittaker, Emily Fletcher, George Weston and Roy Andrews will reminisce about growing up in Fryeburg. If you just moved to town or have always wondered what it was like living here years ago, stop by and listen to these four longtime Fryeburg residents tell their stories. Sally, Emily, George, and Roy's families have been a part of the community for many generations and continue to make Fryeburg their home today. Refreshments will be served.
