Parsonfield Seminary will host its annual Souper Supper on Friday, April 6, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Parsonfield Seminary. The menu is four soups: vegetable beef barley, chili, southwestern chicken and vegetarian. Also at your table will be rolls, biscuits and endless salad. Brownie sundaes and cookies and beverages complete the meal. Freedom’s own Shana Aisenberg and Gale Johnson, along with their friend Beverly Woods will provide upstairs music while Frank Baxter on the piano, will provide downstairs music. The Freedom Public Library will be hosting the program “Spring Clean Your Sewing Machine” with Ann Cummings on Saturday, April 7, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. You will learn how to do simple general sewing machine maintenance to keep your machine running smoothly. You will go through the process of taking apart the bobbin case area, cleaning it out and light oiling. The program is free but pre-registration is required. Come by the library or call (603) 539-5176 to sign up no later than Friday, April 6 at 3 p.m.
