You are invited to bring your family to Freedom Historical Society on Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for family fun at Artisan Demonstration Day. From granite splitting and woodworking to traditional rug hooking and floor loom weaving, needle felting and pointillism painting … numerous diverse historic crafts and homestead skills will be demonstrated along with new crafts such as 3D printing. Eighteen artisans will be showing their craft methods throughout the museum’s barn, in the Allard House, on the front porch and under a large tent. This free event at 28 Old Portland Road in Freedom is open to the public.
