As I write this, I am loving this glorious Sunday. It is the perfect day to open the Fryeburg Fair, one of my all-time favorite places to go to see the animals (big horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, rabbits), the food (especially Sunflower Farm Pizza and the Conway Village Congregational Church’s apple crisp with ice cream, of course), the good smells, the people watching, the craft barn, the expos, the real lemonade, the hint of fall in the air, the sunshine, big pumpkins, 4H exhibit, weaving, the horse racing, the milking parlor, the pulling ring, the new barn for the sheep and beef cattle, Sut and Margaret’s fabulous old wagons (especially the colorful gypsy ones), I guess just about everything. I hope everyone will get out and enjoy this wonderful fair all week long. Welcome to my favorite season: fall.
