A snowstorm made last Thursday seem more like Christmas than Thanksgiving with deep snow and hazardous driving on one of the most heavily traveled days of the year. The next day many local people put up festive lights on houses, trees, and fences and it was clear that the Christmas season had already begun.
The last time I checked there were a few places left for the Tamworth Community Nurses Association's holiday gala, at Chequers Villa, Dec. 5. Seating is limited, so call Tamworth Community Nurses Association to reserve your place. The cost is $55. There will be a splendid buffet dinner, Christmas music, a sing a long, and neighborly fun and camaraderie to start the season. Please support Tamworth Community Nurses Association by attending the Gala, or if you are unable to go, consider sending a donation.
