CONWAY — The 14th annual One Book One Valley community read program wraps up on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. at Kennett High School’s Loynd Auditorium. Amy Ellis Nutt, Pulitzer Prize-winning health and science writer for The Washington Post, will talk about her book “Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of an American Family.”

Beginning in September and continuing through October, One Book One Valley organizers have offered a series of book discussions and events about and related to the book “Becoming Nicole” at 15 public libraries and at White Birch Books. In her book, Amy Ellis Nutt tells the Maines family’s story of raising their transgender child — a journey of resistance, discovery, and, as the title explains, “transformation.”
