Julia Lawson is the featured artist at the Conway Public Library for the month of March. She will have her paintings on display in the Ham Room, and all are invited to enjoy the exhibit “Changing Place.” There will be a special celebration to meet Lawson and learn about her paintings (available for purchase or simple inspiration).
Lawson describes this colorful painting collection in the following words: “Throughout the years these works were being created, the world and space around them have been experiencing constant change. From place to place and from time to time, they would be changing along with me. Moving between small apartments, cabins, and cottages, these works help celebrate the excitement of new environments. Each piece was started at different times but carries the same feelings and style. Some figures represented here are purely spontaneous additions while others are cherished deeply as a significant part of my journey.”
