BERLIN — The Berlin and Coos County Historical Society has obtained a rare 1861 topographical map of Coos County that a map collector made available to the society at a discounted price.

The map, which measures 43 inches by 63 inches, is by Henry F. Walling, considered one of the preeminent American mapmakers.
