GMCG invasive plants and pests

EFFINGHAM — UNH Cooperative Extension Forestry Specialist Wendy Scribner will be at Green Mountain Conservation Group’s conservation center at 236 Huntress Bridge Road in Effingham on Friday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to noon to discuss the invasive plants and pests that threaten New Hampshire’s towns and forests.

An invasive is a plant or animal that is not native to a particular ecosystem and is likely to cause harm to the economy, environment and/or human health. These damaging insects and diseases as well as non-native plants can spread quickly and put forests and the natural environment at risk.
