Tommy Cash

The family of Thomas “Tommy” Q. Cash sadly shares that he passed away peacefully at home in St. Augustine, Fla., on Aug. 27.

Tommy grew up in Dover, N.H., and graduated with the DHS Class of 1960. That same year, he was quarterback in the Vermont/New Hampshire Shrine Football Game. A three-sport athlete, he was well-known around town and highly admired by local sports enthusiasts. Sports never left his blood — he went on to coach softball and Little League in Somersworth, N.H., ran road races all over New England (he had quite the T-shirt collection to prove it), and even ran more than 10 marathons, from Boston and New York to Montreal and Dublin, back when running wasn’t popular.
