Julia F. (Garland) Thompson, 96, of Winthrop, Mass., formerly of Conway, N.H., passed away on Sept. 5, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Carroll R. Thompson.
Born in Bartlett, N.H., she was daughter of the late Rosie Davis. She was the devoted mother of Judy Adjutant of New Hampshire; Gloria Galli and her husband, Dario, of South Hamilton, Mass.; Carol L. Mahoney and her husband, Steven, of Winthrop, Bruce R. Thompson and his wife, Janet, of Beverly, Mass.; Cheryl Heighe and her husband, Merle, of New Hampshire and the late Carroll Kimball; adored grandmother of Michael Galli, Leanne Deterra, Melissa Ferris, Brian Thompson, Jennifer Mahoney, Breanne Mahoney, Steven W. Mahoney, Julia Heighe and Sean Heighe; loving great-grandmother of Madison and Cayden Deterra, Hunter and Colton Ferris, Ella, William and Jack Thompson and Michael Galli; and a dear sister of the late Wilfred Davis.
A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home at 210 Winthrop St. in Winthrop. A graveside service will take place at the Center Conway Cemetery at E. Main St., Routes 113/302 in Conway at 1:30 p.m. also on Sept. 11. Please go directly to the cemetery.
