Obituary: James 'Wayne' Keathley

James “Wayne” Keathley, 78, of Ovilla, Texas, passed away on Nov. 28, 2025, of natural causes. Born on Dec. 20, 1946, Wayne grew up in Conway, Ark., the beloved son of James and Ruby Keathley. An only child, he learned early the value of loyalty, humor, and hard work — traits that stayed with him throughout his life.

Wayne proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before beginning a long career in sales within the moving van lines industry. Known for his quick wit and easy-going nature, he had a way of making people feel at ease. Though he enjoyed the relationships his work brought, he often said his greatest accomplishment was raising two children he deeply loved.
