George Daniel Donovan, 95, passed away on Dec. 17, 2019. He was born in Jersey City, N.J., on Nov. 17, 1924, the son of the late Daniel G. and Maude J. (Corry) Donovan.

After graduating from Saugus High School in 1943, George immediately enlisted in the Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1946 after serving as an Aviation Metalsmith on the aircraft carrier USS Ranger.
