All the local tennis players will be happy that once again the Dave Mason Greater Kezar Lake Tennis Tournament will take to the courts starting Aug. 1 to 3 Friday and Sunday. Sponsored again by the Stow Corner Store the events to be played are: Men's Singles, Men's and Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Junior Singles) under 16). For the younger players this is an excellent time to find out what competition is like in a great setting so sign up. This long standing event in Lovell is open to residents of Lovell, Stow, Sweden and Stoneham or their guest or former tourney participants. All play will take place at the Lovell town courts or private courts if necessary. If you sign up to play it's required that you plan to play the entire tournament to make it fair for the other players. For those who like to play but don't have a partner the tournament committee will try to find one for you. There will be an entry fee of $5 per event with a maximum of two events. The Brick Church for the Performing Arts summer theater camp will be performing selections from "The Sound of Music" on Friday, July 18, at 4 p.m. and Saturday, July 19, at 3 p.m. The camp under the direction of Lily Bayrock have spent the week learning about music and the stage. The camp was sponsored by the Sears Family Foundation. This event is free.
