James Robert Dumke, 74, of Danforth Lane, Madison, died Oct. 12, 2006, at his home.Born April 18, 1928, in South Bend, Ind., son of the late Ralph and Greta Leona (Edner) Dumke, he has lived for 13 years and vacationed for 30 years in Madison, previously living in Danvers, Mass.Mr. Dumke worked as a physicist for Hughes Air Craft Co. and the federal government. In Madison, he was a member of the planning board.Predeceased by his first wife, Penelope Hall, in 2004, and a daughter, Martha F. Ahbolten, he leaves his wife, Joan (Crawford) Dumke, three sons, James R. Dumke of Alder Point, Calif., Ralph W. Dumke of Rye and Peter H. Dumke of Danvers, Mass., a daughter, Caroline Klassen of Langley, Wash., and several grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at the Madison Baptist Church in Madison at a later date.The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of West Ossipee is in charge of the arrangements.
