Only a tiny part of the spectrum of red light — from roughly 400 nm to 700 nm — is visible to the human eye. At the highest end of the visible light spectrum is red light, which is from a little over 600 nm to approximately 700 nm. Above that visible light spectrum is near-infrared, from about 700 nm to a little over 1,100 nm.
