He waseducated in Norton schools and graduated in 1968 from Norton High School.Prior to moving to Mount Washington Valley, Gil spent three years driving taxi in Hyannis, Mass. He relocated to Fryeburg, Maine, four years ago to be with his best friend of 35 years and companion, Donna Woodward. He loved the quality of life and the people of the area. Golf was a passion for him and he loved playing with the residents and guests at Hales. An evening of shooting darts with his friends at Peking was also high on his list of enjoyments. The only thing that topped these three activities would be his love for children and animals. He worked hard and played hard, and was everybody's friend.A memorial service will be held at The New Church on Oxford Street in Fryeburg at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, with a reception following at Donna Woodward's home at 13 West Fryeburg Road, West Fryeburg.
