Musings: The Perfect Candidate

Ideal Candidate for Public Office Wanted, in the form of a friendly and deeply humble public servant. Desired characteristics include above average IQ, good memory, good looks, the right size homogeneous family, slightly liberal social views and mildly conservative fiscal views.

The successful candidate should be against taxes but for social programs, should be against big government but supportive of the golden rule, and above all be beyond personal reproach. Past work experience should be mid-level so no one feels inadequate. Bank accounts should be mid-level so no one is resentful. Owning just one home is a good idea, and family tent vacations at state-owned campgrounds are a big plus.
