TAMWORTH — Family-friendly Halloween magic swoops into Tamworth this coming Saturday, Oct. 17, when the Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm hosts local author and illustrator Ann M. Willett for a special reading and book signing of her new contemporary Halloween book, "The Witch Cat," from 11 a.m.-noon.

Illustrated with striking imagery, "The Witch Cat" tells the tale of a sleepy farm cat, an unexpected encounter with a witch, a magical spell, and an enchanted broom that help to turn an ordinary Halloween night into an extraordinary one. Lively characters, spooky transformations, and unexpected humor spark imagination, concluding with a mysterious clue that leaves the final ending up to each listener.
