CONWAY — The Gibson Center for Senior Services in North Conway announced Monday it has met the challenge grant goal of $30,000 in support of rural public transportation for older adults. This milestone moves the Gibson Center significantly closer to its goal of purchasing a new 14-passenger bus with a lift and accessibility for two wheelchairs at once. Gibson Center has now raised $88,000 from private donations and is seeking additional support through grant opportunities. The cost of the bus will be approximately $130,000.

The Gibson Center received 58 gifts totaling $30,065 to meet the Challenge. The 58th gift, that put them over the top, was $5,000. The median gift amount was $100.
