An ongoing book discussion exploring women's stories from different cultures will continue Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Denmark Public Library.Titled "Let's Talk About It," the 2 p.m. discussion will center on the book "The God of Small Things," by Arudhati Roy. The session is free and open to the public. It's not to late to join.Judy Platz will lead the program. She is a resident of Denmark and a professor of English at Southern Maine Technical College.Upcoming sessions, all at 2 p.m., will include Aug. 24, "Nervous Conditions," by Tsitsi Dangarembga; Sept. 7, "Kehinde," by Buchi Emecheta, and, Sept. 21, "The Farming of Bones" by Edwige Danticat.Books for the reading and discussion series are available for loan at the Denmark Public Library. The library is open Tuesday, from 3 to 6 p.m.; Wednesday, from 9 to12 noon; Thursday, from 3 to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, from 12 to 4 p.m. For more information, contact Dede Rowe at 207-452-2200.
