On Sept. 12, 2016, Cheryl Gardner of Conway joined her husband, Gary, in Heaven. Though the two-year separation was painful for Cheryl, she continued to valiantly fight a lifelong illness to have the opportunity to watch her beloved grandchildren grow up.

Born to Walter and Anne Keating on June 19, 1951, in Quincy, Mass., she spent her childhood and early adult life in and around Quincy. Shortly after her third child was born, Cheryl and Gary moved to Conway. Gary became a machinist, and Cheryl was a dedicated homemaker.
