Alan Bruce Currier, 63, of Newton, died suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, Mass.Born on Oct. 18, 1941, in Haverhill, Mass., he was the son of the late Stanley and Janice (King) Currier. During the Vietnam conflict, he served his country in the U.S. Army, as an aviation mechanic working on Chinook helicopters.He recently retired from the Brooks School in North Andover, Mass., where he had worked as a maintenance engineer for many years.He is survived by his wife, Barbara Currier, of Newton; a brother, Dennis Currier, and his wife, Dorothy, of Tuftonboro; his nephews, Brian Currier of Methuen, Mass., and Michael Currier of Methuen, Mass.; and his very good friends, Shardul Patel and Mehool Patel of Haverhill.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Lord Funeral Home, Route 28, Wolfeboro.Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Wolfeboro.The Lord Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
