CONWAY — Friends gathered to throw a surprise party at McGrath's Tavern Monday afternoon to salute Ralph McEwen on his the impending retirement as a driver the past 45 years for the high-end food distribution company, Dole and Bailey, of Woburn, Mass.

“Ralph has just been a great guy to work with. He has been a delivery truck driver for Dole and Bailey, serving restaurants in the Mount Washington Valley as well as in the Lakes Region and all of New England. He's been a staple on the local restaurant scene,” said Seammus McGrath of McGrath's.
