Jim and Lucy Clemons have sold Northern Building Supply, Inc. to Hancock Lumber. Hancock is a Maine-based owner of a chain of building supply stores, a high production lumber mill and timberlands. The Clemons have been involved with the business since its days as Diamond Match and Diamond Lumber. Bayard Kennett of RE/MAX Presidential, North Conway, was the commercial broker for the sale and Ed McBurney, Esquire of McBurney Law Offices of North Conway handled the legal matters for the sellers. The commercial division at RE/MAX Presidential wished Jim and Lucy Clemons a happy retirement and welcomed Hancock Lumber to the Mount Washington Valley.
