There’s been a paradigm shift in our society regarding housing, and it’s reflective of a nomadic lifestyle. Maybe it’s natural evolution or a desire for rich experiences over just riches, but minimalist living is becoming mainstream.

Early in the development of the U.S., big families were desirable for a number of reasons, including having plenty of help around the farm or homestead. Consequently, big houses were needed to provide shelter. Later, a large or opulent house became a symbol of prosperity, a trophy to be admired.
