Imagine all those Christmas movies, songs and poems translated to modern times. Not that Hallmark Channel, contrived, fake snow, suave romantic interest redo, but the kind of remake that would fit a classic theme into a current calendar.

Take “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. You know the story: Scrooge, the curmudgeonly businessman, is borderline abusive to his employee, whose crippled son at home remains happy and positive despite their meager lifestyle.
