Numerous automotive awards are presented annually for a variety of reasons — so many, in fact, that one would be hard-pressed to name them all let alone the source that’s actually behind the surveys fueling those coveted trophies.

Regardless, most auto manufacturers happily tout the results through advertising, giving little credence to the presenting party, perhaps noting in small print or speed talking about the source. Marketing departments are only too eager to get those statistics out to the buying public although, I’m not sure how many minds are changed or made based on these awards alone.
