SARGENT’S PURCHASE — Wayne Presby, president of the Mount Washington Cog Railway, filed an application with the Coos County Planning Board to restore about 110 feet of track and platform closer to its original location on the 6,288-foot summit of Mount Washington.
The planning board has scheduled a meeting at 6:30 p.m. on May 8, at the county nursing home in Berlin to review the application, said board chairman John Scarinza. “If deemed complete, a public hearing will be set at a future date to be determined,” he explained in an email exchange.
