CONWAY — Avesta Housing’s RiverTurn project is one of the recipients of a Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston (FHLBank Boston) Affordable Housing Program, which recently awarded a total of $52.5 million in grants, loans and interest-rate subsidies through to support 40 affordable housing initiatives in New England and beyond.

These projects will create or preserve 1,246 rental and ownership units for individuals and families earning up to 80 percent of the area median income. As part of this funding round, New Hampshire received more than $9 million for 104 affordable units of rental housing in Keene, Portsmouth and the aforementioned grant to Avesta in Conway.
