Looking back over the last 40-something years, I can count around 12 different places I have moved into after leaving the proverbial nest. All but one of those were places that had been lived in before and had either tenants or multiple owners. Some of those spots were not in the most sterile of environments (I'm looking at you Somersworth) and others were great homes in great neighborhoods.

Regardless of the situation, there are some standard steps you should take when moving into a new home; Steps that can acquaint you with the home itself and with your new surroundings.
