JACKSON — Black Mountain in Jackson won top honors in WMUR-Channel 9's “Viewers' Choice 2026: Best Ski Areas in New Hampshire” poll, with King Pine in East Madison placing second; Cannon Mountain in Franconia third; and Bretton Woods tying with Pats Peak in Henniker for fourth.

For Black Mountain, which has seen a resurgence over the past two years under the ownership of Erik Mogensen, WMUR writes: “Fans of Black Mountain rave about the improvements made by new owners while still maintaining a family-friendly feel.”
