Berlin Middle School opening information - Back to School 2014

Berlin Middle School is excited to welcome students in grades 6, 7, and 8 back to school! BMS will open for the 2014 - 2015 school year on Wednesday, August, 27, 2014. Upon arrival to school, students should assemble in the Willard St. courtyard starting at 7:10 a.m. The cafeteria will also serve breakfast at that time. The entry bell rings at 7:30 a.m. with students reporting to their advisory classroom at that time. BMS dismisses at 2:10 p.m.

Berlin Middle School is extremely excited to introduce our new Digital Learning Initiative that will begin this year. BMS has partnered with Engaging Solutions and Curriculum Loft with the purpose of actively engaging and preparing all students for the challenges of becoming college and career ready in a rapidly changing world. With that in mind, every student at BMS will be issued a KUNO Android Tablet this fall to use both at school and at home. Students and teachers will use KUNO’s to access educational digital information including classroom materials, digital textbooks, reading assignments, individualized work, and homework. BMS will be hosting a KUNO information session and Team Parent Night on Tuesday, September 9 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. We strongly encourage all parents to attend. If parents are unable to attend on September 9, a separate KUNO information session will be held during the day on Thursday, September 11 at noon, also in the auditorium.
