ANDROSCOGGIN VALLEY — Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont easily won the Democratic primary in the Androscoggin Valley, but the story, as throughout the state, was the unexpectedly strong showing by Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar.
Unofficial totals show Sanders received 787 votes in the Coos County city of Berlin and towns of Dummer, Gorham, Errol, Milan, Shelburne and Randolph. That was 203 more than his closest competitor, Pete Buttigieg, who came away with 584 votes.
