This is the time of year when Mount Washington Valley folks often disperse, not only for warm holidays or faraway skiing, but also for conferences and exhibitions. This weird winter is no exception.

In Boston, Freedom artists Terri Brooks and Peg Scully show their paintings at the New England Watercolor Society's annual Signature Members Show at the Guild of Boston Artists at 162 Newbury St. in Boston. This exhibit will include the best of classic and contemporary water media paintings and runs through Feb. 27. The public is invited to an awards reception from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6.
