CONWAY — The Mt. Washington Valley Arts Association invites the public to experience The Quiet Season, a winter exhibition reflecting the stillness, introspection, and subtle beauty of the colder months. The exhibition opens this weekend with a Meet the Artists Reception on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the MWVAA Gallery in North Conway.
As snow blankets the landscape, sound softens and movement slows. The Quiet Season explores this unique time of year — when animals retreat into hibernation, molecules freeze into crystalline order, and the world feels hushed and contemplative. Through painting, mixed media, glass, and more, the exhibition highlights winter not as an absence of life, but as a period of rest, reflection and quiet transformation.
