CONWAY — Pope Memorial Library will be exhibiting the work of Plaistow artist Anne Marie Zanfagna, who lost her youngest daughter Jacqueline to an accidental overdose. The exhibit will be available for viewing during normal business hours for the month of September, in support of National Recovery Month.

At the time of Jackie’s death, Anne Marie and her husband, Jim, made the decision to be open with her cause of death, in hopes of raising awareness of addiction. When Anne Marie started painting again, she painted a portrait of Jackie. She and Jim brought the painting with them to a support group for those affected by addiction. It was so well received that another family grieving their child lost to overdose requested a portrait. And then another.
