CONWAY — Come explore sound as both visual and musical art at the Majestic Theatre in Conway Village. At 1 p.m. on Friday, Sara Demos — multimedia artist, farmer and Mountain Top board member — presents “What are you listening to?” Audiences will be treated to a fun and interactive hour of hearing — and observing — common sounds as they’re reflected in the waveforms they generate.
Demos has worked in electronic multi-media for the last several years, using specialized computer software to translate a variety of music and other sounds into visual waveforms. In her interactive talk and demonstration, she’ll focus on everyday sounds and how they appear as images. Audience participation is a definite possibility!
