CONWAY — There’s good news for girls who want to play ice hockey. The Mount Washington Valley Youth Hockey Association announced Tuesday it has officially kicked off its Girls Development Program. MWVYHA unveiled a four-page plan for the program.

“The intent of the program is to increase the interest in hockey among girls in our area,” said board member Josh McAllister. “A longer-term goal could be to increase the level of interest where KHS is able to field a stand-alone girls hockey team.”
