CONWAY — The Kennett High boys’ and girls’ track team competed in its third road meet in succession on Saturday when the Eagles ventured to Concord for the annual Merrimack Invitational. Although no team scores were kept, the Eagles did have a number of solid performances on the day, highlighted by senior Chloe VanDyne equaling the school record for the high jump at 5’2”.

“I told her afterward she’s the first person to ever be the fourth person to tie a school record,” Bernie Livingston, Eagles’ head coach, said, jokingly. VanDyne matches the school mark set by Lisa Hache in 1983, Katie Bergeron in 1989 and Gracie Ryan in 2015. “She had a really good jump at 5’4,” too. Chloe is really jumping well.”
