CONWAY — “If we hit, we can be a very good team,” Coach Larry Meader said of the Kennett High softball team. The Eagles have strong pitching and solid defense, but the bats, like the weather, have been slow to heat up this spring.

Kennett is off to a 2-1 start in Division II play. The Eagles opened the season with a split against Laconia on April 20, losing 3-1 in the opener, but won the nightcap 8-5.
