FRYEBURG – Alex Allain has loved baseball for as long as he can remember. The talented Fryeburg Academy senior, nicknamed the “Brazilian Missile,” will take his talents to Massachusetts next fall to play Division I baseball. Alex, the son of Gabriella and Greg Allain of Freyburg, signed his national letter of intent to attend UMass Lowell and play baseball for the River Hawks during a ceremony at the Academy surrounded by family, coaches and teammates on Nov. 12.
Perfect Game, the world’s largest scouting organization, ranks Alex as the No. 1 baseball player in the state of Maine in the Class of 2026.
