CONWAY — Facing its toughest stretch of the season with three games against top-five teams, the Kennett High softball team went 1-2 last week to remain in the playoff chase.
The Eagles opened the week by beating John Stark (9-5, fifth) 10-4 at home last Tuesday, but were unable to carry that momentum into the next two contests. They fell 15-1 to Coe-Brown Northwood (12-2, second) at home on Wednesday, and lost 16-3 at the nest to arch-rivals Kingswood (11-4, fourth) on Friday.
