CONWAY — The Kennett High girls' basketball team kept its playoff hopes alive last week thanks to a 57-45 victory on the road against Spaulding, a Division I school. With the win, the Eagles picked up an extra point, which could prove highly valuable down the stretch in the Division II standings.

The win Thursday night came on the heels of a tough 38-31 loss at home to arch-rival Kingswood (9-4) on Wednesday night in a game where not much went well for the Eagles at the Nest.
