North Country Angling - Steve and his wife

Four seasons of fun with the catch of a lifetime. (STEVE ANGERS PHOTO)

Anglers are dreamers. We dream about wild places and the fish they hold. We dream about serenity and the comfort it brings. We dream of catching a fish that will stay in the mind’s eye forever.

Customers come into the shop and show me pictures of what they are calling their catch of a lifetime. Brook trout from Labrador. Bonefish from Belize. Tarpon from the Keys. Brown trout from Montana. Salmon from the Gaspe. However, the pictures can also feature small fish. A wild White Mountains trout. An Idaho cutthroat trout. A Sierra's golden trout. Yes, the catch of a lifetime takes many forms.
