Looking at the Windy App on Saturday night, the wind looked to be fishable for the following morning. Coming out of the northeast at five miles per hour starting at 7 p.m. and dropping to three miles per hour at 9 p.m., canoeing out to the drop-off and being able to fish was doable.

The temperature was going to be in the low 30s, and there was a chance of rain. Rain pants and a rain jacket were added to the gear for Sunday morning. Nothing worse than being in the middle of a pond and the heavens open up. Messing around in potentially hypothermic conditions is unwise.
