In the 1950s, the people I saw riding bicycles were kids, not adults. Things have changed. Now, “old” people like me in their 70s and up, are still riding bikes. Interest in maintaining active, healthy lifestyles, even as we age, has kept us pedaling.

Recently, I attended a free bicycle giveaway at the Gibson Center for Senior Services. It was such a hot day, I didn’t expect many seniors to show up. Boy, I was so wrong.
